Roopa Revathi (Malayalam: രൂപ രേവതി), also known as Roopa K.R., is an Indian playback singer and violinist from Kerala. She started her career as a playback singer in the Malayalam movie Madampi in 2008. She has also recorded songs for Tamil and Kannada films. She was the winner of the reality show Amrita TV Super Star Global, a musical talent hunt show hosted by Amrita TV. Roopa was born in Ernakulam, Kerala on 31 July 1984. She started learning Carnatic music at the age of 5 under Malini Hariharan and Tamarakkadu Govindan Namboothiri. Now, she is continuing it under P Unni Krishnan and M. Jayachandran. She also started learning the violin when she was 7, under Sri. Sunil Bhasker, Sri. T.H.Subrahmaniyam and has now started taking advanced lessons from Sri. Kalaimamani Embar Kannan.
